Shawn Murphy is CEO and co-founder of Switch & Shift, an organization dedicated to the advancement of human-centered organizational practices and leadership.

Often found in the classroom teaching, on the stage speaking, or alongside clients consulting, Shawn is passionate about helping people become the best version of themselves.

Shawn Murphy will close out the 2015 event season for ATD Sacramento with a positive message about the role and impact of an optimistic workplace. Shawn has examples from large and small companies on the impact of an optimistic workplace and will share his insights with ATD Sacramento’s talent development community. 

Shawn doesn’t rely on sweeping generalizations and non-evidence-based self-help advice. Instead he will share what science reveals about optimism (and pessimism) and the impact on our well-being in our professional and personal life.
