Employee Learning Week - Recognizing, Promoting and Celebrating Commitments to Learning
Training is more important than ever. The growing skills gap and the increased need to compete in a competitive economy require organizations to retain, recruit and develop a knowledgeable and skilled workforce – especially when the economic downturn has had such a significant impact in the Sacramento region.
The goal of Employee Learning Week (ELW) is an awareness campaign highlighting the important connection between learning and achieving organizational results. This is a time dedicated annually to recognize organizations that are committed to learning and training. The campaign is aimed at business leaders to help them realize that the most important asset in a knowledge based economy is talent and that a skilled workforce is the key to realizing results.
Sacramento’s Chapter of the American of Training and Development is partnering with the North State Building Industry Foundation and the North State Building Industry Association to recognize companies and organizations in the building industry (and related trades) that have focused their resources on training and employee learning even as the economic downturn has impacted development and construction in the region.
Awards will be presented to:
USA Multifamily, Incorporated
H & D Electric
These three companies were selected for going above and beyond in supporting employee learning within their companies. This recognition will take place at the North State Building Industry Association’s annual membership luncheon on December 11th.
